About Hero's Haven

Hero's Haven Animal Rescue was founded in 2019 as a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue serving Eastern Iowa. We don't operate a shelter facility. Instead, our animals live in loving foster homes across the region until they find their forever families.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit licensed with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, every adoption, foster, donation, and volunteer hour goes directly toward rescuing and caring for animals in need.

You can also meet some of our adoptable cats and kittens in person at the PetSmart in southwest Cedar Rapids.
